ATIWA:Assembly to construct 6 new satellite markets

As part of its economic improvement measures, the Atiwa District in the Eastern Region is to construct about six new satellite markets at various communities.
The establishment of the satellite markets according to the District Chief Executive Emmanuel Atta Twum is to provide convenient place for people to market their farm produce and other products especially small scale industries in order that they would also have a good return from their business. Some of the areas targeted include Tumfra, Gyamase Keduase among three others.
Aside these, the assembly would also put up two-story 10 lockable stores at the Anyinam Market, the main commercial town in the district to boost trading activities.
Mr. Twum also indicated that there are other plans which are yet to be finalized by the assembly for execution and was confidence things would move on fast for the realization of these projects.
