EFFUTU:190 youth trained under GYEEDA

About 190 persons in the Effutu Municipality have successfully received skills training under the Ghana Youth Employment Entrepreneur Development Agency (GYEEDA) as part of efforts to cut down the rate of unemployment in the area.
Beneficiaries were however made to undergo training in sectors such as hairdressing, fashion designing, dressmaking among others and were presented with start-up kits to help them establish their own businesses.
In a statement read on his behalf at a short ceremony held for the grandaunts, the Municipal Chief Executive, Nii Ephraim cautioned beneficiaries to avoid the sale of the of what have been presented and ensure its proper care to earn them a good living.
He commended government for its continuous effort in the area of helping reduce the ever rising unemployment rate in the country with the introduction of the various youth entrepreneurship programmes such as Local Enterprises & Skills Development Program (LESDEP), Youth Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (YESDEP) among others.
The MCE noted that his outfit will continuously collaborate with government to assist the youth in the area and help reduce unemployment.
