LEKMA: 1,600 Security/Streelights installed

In their bid to beef up security in the area, the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly Chief Executive, Mr. Daniel Amartey Mensah has revealed that about 800  security lights and 800  streetlights have been installed on most streets witin the area.

He made this known when he was asked on Citi Fm about efforts put in place by the assembly to tighten security.

In his response he said that the assembly as at last year launched a security fund to empower the security services to put up their best.

“The fund helped us to purchase pickup vehicles for the police service and we seek to replicate it for the other security services this year,” he intimated.

In a another issue, the MCE said the Assembly also undertook a programme last year dubbed “Better Ghana Agenda at your Door Step” which was aimed at explaining and educating residents on government policies and projects and also solicit information from them for the way forward.
