OFFINSO N: 25 communities to get potable water

About twenty – five (25) communities in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region are to benefit from mechanise small community water system to ensure access to potable water.

It will come with an overhead tank that has the capacity to hold thousands of gallons of water, powered by solar system.

The District Chief Executive for the Offinso North, Hon. Samuel Kojo Appiah- Kubi announced this when he inaugurated three of such boreholes at Darso, Asuoso and Jemakrom as part of his thank you tour of the district.

He assured the people that when the rests are completed, the remaining communities would be assured of clean and safe drinking water.

Mr Appiah- Kubi drew attention to the need to handle the facilities with care and ensure regular maintenance to prolong their life span.

He expressed appreciation to the chiefs and people in the district as well as members of the District Security Council for their contributions to peaceful Elections in 2012 and called on them to continue to  maintain the peace in the area saying that, the elections re over, there is the needed to forge ahead in peace to ensure development.

He also announced that, the assembly would do all that it could to complete the remaining projects depending on the availability of fund since district assemblies were yet to receive their budget locations from central Government.

The Chiefs and people praised the government for the many development projects executed in the area and also pledged their support for the government and appealed to the government to completion ongoing projects to improve their lot.
