GOMOA W: 2 communities provided with boreholes
Two communities in the Gomoa West District in the Central Region have been provided with mechanized boreholes as part of efforts to ensure potable water supply in the areas.
The projects however received funding from Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited as part of the company’s cooperate social responsibility.
The District Chief Executive, Mr. Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah expressed his profound gratitude to management of Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited for their immense contribution towards improving living conditions of residents in the beneficiary communities.
He however called for more of such supports from individual and private business to ensure development in the district, adding that government can only meet the needs of the citizens with support from the private companies.
On her part, Human Resource Manager of the Company, Ms Flora Aggrey-Fynn reiterated that the boreholes were part of their corporate social responsibilities to commemorate Ford Motor Company’s Global Week of Caring.
She said her outfit which is the sole agent of Ford Motors, annually marks the Ford Motor Company’s Global Week with the provision of such projects in various communities.
