Ellembele: MP nominated as Minister

The Member of Parliament for Ellembele, Emmanuel Armand Kofi Buah has been nominated by President John Mahama as the Minister designate for Energy and Petroleum.

He has been elevated to a substantive minister status as he served in the previous government as a deputy minister for Energy.

His nomination came barely forty eight hours after a group of Chiefs from the Western Region served notice in the media that they will not accept a non indegene to be appointed a minister for the speculated Oil and Gas ministry.

While his nomination may be a coincidence, others are of the view that the President has pandered to pressure from the esteemed chiefs.
