BAWKU: Assembly to reward persons with Information on weapons

The Bawku Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) has notified the public that the Assembly will reward individuals who provide security agencies with information leading to the arrest or conviction of persons in possession of weapons with an amount of GH¢3,000.
This comes up after various incidents of robbery and violence as well as gunshots in the Upper East Region.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Musah Abdulai, made mention of recent violence that rocked Bawku Municipality in which one person was shot dead last Monday night while three others sustained injuries after parts of the municipality came under sporadic gunshots.
He notified that the problems in Bawku, in recent times, are purely criminal and not related to ethnicity.As such,people must desist from relating it to ethnic background.
He has also assured that the security personnels are working around the clock to ensure that there is peace and stability in the region.
