A AKIM S: MP donates computers to three schools

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante-Akim South, Mrs. Gifty Ohene-Konadu, has donated 20 desktop computers valued at GH¢ 25,000.00 to some schools on the area.

Asankare Youth Leadership Training Institute, Morso Senior High School and Dapaah Senior High School at Obogu, beneficiaries of the equipment that   were bought from her share of the MP’s Common Fund.

Mrs. Ohene-Konadu expressed hope that the gesture would enhance the teaching of Information Communication Technology in the schools, and pledged to do more to promote education in the area.

She advised the students to be disciplined and study hard to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills needed for national development.

Mr Daniel Arhin-Sam, Principal of the Leadership Training Institute, on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the MP for the gesture.

He promised that the educational institutions would take good care of the computers to enable them serve the intended purpose.
