ABURA: “NDC will sweep 53 percent of votes cast”- DCE

The Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Chief Executive, Mr. William Ata-Mends has indicated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win by a landslide victory of about 53% in the upcoming December 2012 elections.
“My party is going to win massively of about 53 percent out of the actual valid votes cast to retain us in the castle” the DCE said.
According to him, the NDC won the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Parliamentary seat with about 7000 votesin the 2008 elections, adding that his party was looking up to a margin of about 12,000 votes to maintain the seat this year.
However on the issue of security, during and after the elections, the DCE noted that personnel from the District’s Police Command has been dispatched to ensure a violent free and fair election, adding that district had so far not recorded any act or form of intimidation from any of the parties.
He reiterated that personnel from the security agencies are committed to ensure maximum security in the area hence urged all eligible voters to go out in their numbers to vote for their respective political parties.
