|Polling station|| |
As mandatory to happen in all other districts across the length and breadth of the country, the Lambussie Karni district in the Upper West region is also conducting its special voting for today, DCE for the area, Clement Benin revealed.
He said voting today started about 8: 00 am, noting that the polling centre designated for this special exercise in the area was well organized before the exercise took off.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr Benin stressed that so far voting has been moving on smoothly without any tendencies of violent acts and trouble making, adding that electorates are casting their votes orderly when he visited the polling station this morning.
With respect to the preparations that have gone into this year’s election in the district, he for instance mentioned that, the Electoral Commission (EC) has carried out the required training for polling officials to put them in shape so they could handle a perfect and excellent exercise, whiles electorates had also been educated on the voting procedures to rid the process from any anomaly like the incidence of spoilt ballot papers.
He advised voters to abhor any election malpractices and avoid unruly behaviours that will destruct the process on Friday.
