NKORANZA S:Assembly to commit funds in motivating teachers

The Executive Committee of Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly has decided to allocate a budget for Teachers Awards Scheme.

In addition, Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) would be identified and assisted in their operations to motivate them to improve on their services     

This was announced by Mr Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Municipal Chief Executive, at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly at Nkoranza.     

He pointed out that the invaluable role played by teachers could not be emphasised therefore, there is the need to appreciation and motivate them to serve as role models to others.     

Mr Agyekum said the TBAs contribute to birth delivery and to reduce infant and maternal mortality in the Municipality hence the need to provide them with training and facilities.      

He appealed to the media and leadership of the political parties to educate the electorate to be law-abiding on December 7 to ensure peaceful elections.
