K NANKANA W: Contractors to begin Sirigu-Burkina Faso boarder road project
|Road project|| |
Contractors have started moving to site to commence the Sirigu-Burkina Faso boarder road project which the Department of feeder roads in conjunction with the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly has resolved to undertake to open up the stretch for smooth and enhanced transportation.
Mr. Thomas Dalu Addah, DCE for the area recounted that attending to the project was crucial to ostensibly facilitate trade and commerce in the area, noting that the road is a strategic road which links Ghana to Burkina Faso, hence the need to reshape it to aid free movement of goods and persons.
He made this known to Ghanadistricts.com when discussing some of the few road projects currently ongoing in the district.
He said the project amidst other vital projects is captured under the myriads of projects set under the Ghana Social Opportunity Projects (GSOP) which were scheduled to be undertaken this year for people living in the district.
Mr. Dalu Addah also assured that the Assembly was doing every thing possible to complete and finish off the road projects started this year which had not yet been accomplished to boost the road system in the area.
