GA W: Zonal Council at Amumole completed

A 2-storey Zonal Council building at Amumole in the Asofan Electoral Area in the Ga West Municipality has finally been completed.
The project was started by the erstwhile Kufour administration but did not go far and halted due to lack of funds.
The NDC government with its Better Ghana agenda however decided to complete it to help improve on the revenue base of the Ga West Municipal Assembly.
Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com the Assemblyman for Asofan Electoral Area, Mr. Kofi Appiah-Kubi said the council was previously occupying a rented premise, which cost the Assembly huge sums of money.
He said Zonal Councils were critical to grassroots development and needed to be equipped to take their place in local governance hence the need for the completion of the edifice.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi believes the 2-storey building, situated at a vantage site at Amumole, will contribute enormously to the development of the Ga West Municipality.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi however called on the Assembly to fastrack extending
