KARAGA: Dong to get water facility

The Karaga District Assembly in the Northern Region is systematically making ends with the implementation of the Northern Region Small Towns Water and Sanitation Project (NORST) as the programme has given the platform to extend water facilities to hamlets and hinterlands.
The NORST project in Ghana however, seeks to increase access to sustainable water and sanitation services in the Northern part of the country.
Currently in the Karaga District the Assembly is drilling some mechanized borehole at Dong courtesy the NORST project to serve inhabitants of the community and the surrounding environs with good drinking water.
Highlighting this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE for the area, Sulemana Hussein Issah reiterated that the project is moving steadily in the area, adding that contractors are presently mounting the tanks at the project site.
He was therefore sure that the project will be completed within the scheduled period to subsequently pave way for the people to access it in the area.
