U W AKIM: DCE nominee confirmed

Assembly members

Mr. Derick Ohene Assifo Bekoe, Presidential nominee to head one of the newly created districts in the Eastern Region, Upper West Akim District has been confirmed by Assembly members.

36 out of 37 members who exercised their franchise voted in his favour representing 97.3%.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Victor Smith, attended the ceremony as well as traditional leaders in and around Adeiso, capital of the newly created district.

Mr. Victor Smith advised them to rally behind the new DCE for the betterment of the District.
