W GONJA:More classroom structures underway

More classroom buildings are under construction in the West Gonja district, to scale up the efforts initiated by government to eliminate all sub-standard structures in the basic schools.

A good number of school blocks were for the past four years constructed across-board for school children in both the local and urban areas of the district, whiles efforts are still underway to add more into the system.

Mr. Adam Mutawakilu, DCE for the West Gonja District Assembly in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com, has indicated that currently the Assembly is committing attention to construct some 2 no. 3 unit classroom blocks at Yugbum and Jafo Junior High Schools (JHS).

He claimed the projects ongoing concurrently in the district are being powered by the District Development Fund (DDF), and forms part of efforts by the Assembly to achieving quality education.
