C TONGU:NAS stationed at Mafi-Kumase
Residents of Adidome and its surrounding environs will likely experience a boost in its healthcare system as the newly created district,Central Tongu has acquired an ambulance facility to assist dispatch emergencies to the major facilities in the area.
In addition to this, 4 paramedics have also been assigned to manage and facilitate the operations of the National Ambulance Service(NAS) in the district.
Alhaji Dzinadu Bubbey, DCE for the area in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com revealed that the NAS has therefore been stationed at Mafi-Kumase a suburb of the district and will be operational in areas of the district.
He said for now only 1 ambulance vehicle has been secured, but was optimistic that this will increase shortly as the assembly is earnestly working to open up and improve the sector under the implementation of the “Better Ghana”agenda programme.
The DCE noted that the difficulty in quickly attending to emergencies in the health system ‘will be a thing of the past’, adding that the move will assist health workers save more lives without delay.
