L M KROBO:Work on Kpong head works progresses

Construction works on addional head works at Kpong in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality is fast progressing.

Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Agbo-Tetteh disclosing this to Ghanadistricts.com said the project was in line with promise made by late President Mills to improve potable water provision in the urban centres including Accra and Tema.

However, he said the Lower Manya Municipality where the project is cited would be a major beneficiary and communities look to it early completion.

The Kpong Water Supply Expansion Project and the Kpong Intake Rehabilitation Project is expected to add 43.2 million gallons per day to the existing 44 million gallons water treatment capacity at Kpong,

The MCE indicated that the project would go a long way to augment earlier efforts by government and the district assembly in proving potable water through the drilling of boreholes in a number of communities.
