BINDURI:District’s action plan to be ready next month

Assembly

The District Co-ordinating Director for the Binduri District Assembly, Nar-Ire P. David has stated that the district’s Annual Action Plan for the year 2013 will be ready for approval by the end of November.

The document will be an embodiment of all detailed plans intended to be carried out and implemented in the district with regards to development projects, programmes as well as other special activities in the jurisdiction.

Though no special projects were rolled out by the Assembly in the area, since it was inaugurated as one of the newly created districts in the Upper East region, the DCD believed that all administrative functions were on track as personnel in the various offices under the Assembly have taken off fully without hitches.

Highlighting on the state of affairs with the new assembly in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCD maintained that the district still remains without a District Chief Executive, noting that the situation had to some extent culminated in a slow pace of operations in the Assembly.

The DCE position for the Binduri District Assembly had been vacant even as it took off from the month of June this year till now.

He said the Assembly is grappled currently with certain challenges such as availability of vehicles to ease mobility, logistics for decentralized departments, but was quick to add that these issues enumerated will be short-lived as plans are afoot to begin procurement of the needed facilities to run the assembly in consultation with the Regional Minister.

According to him this support was made possible through government funding and will be implemented shortly.
