An IEA form of debate is currently ongoing at the Breman Asikuman Catholic Church Premises in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the Central Region to ascertain what Parliamentary aspirants will bring on board when voted into power.
The programme which is being organized by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) is aimed at making candidates give account of their policies and programme that will be implemented if given the nod as a Member of Parliamentary for the area.
Currently, five political parties including the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Party (NDP), Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and an independent Candidate are battling it out at the debate.
According to our source, questions are expected to be answered from various sectors such as health, water and sanitation, education, transportation among others, though he expected candidates from the ruling NDC and the main opposition NPP to place much emphasis on the educational sector which has for time now been a struggle between both parties.
