KETU N:Bright Generation Foundation assists pupils

Bright Generation Community Foundation, a non governmental organisation based in Kumasi is providing students with school sandals.

Ghanadistricts.com sources at the assembly revealed that the foundation has collaborated with authorities at the assembly to assist some needy pupils in selected communities in the district.

Accordingly, some one thousand (100) pairs of sandals have been distributed to some beneficiaries already. The beneficiarycommunities included Torkpo Zomayi, Torvi, Kasu, Dorvime-Sarvekor and Awulogui.

The source said the gesture is a welcome news to a number of families as it would compliment other social interventions being made by government including the free school uniform and exercise books, capitation grant among others all with the sole aim of ensuring as many pupils as possible who are of school going age get the opportunity to have formal education.

He said the foundation promised to sustain this over unspecified period in order to reach out to many people.
