ASSIN S: Minister commission, inspect new projects

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ama Benyiwa Doe has urged students of Abankwaman Senior High School in the Assin South District to take their studies seriously to enable them become good future leaders.
She said government was doing its possible best to increase accessibility to quality education in every part of the country hence students must also play their roles by taking advantage of government’s continuous effort to improve education to a preferred standard.
According to her, the country’s education sector has seen massive infrastructure boost under NDC’s first term of office with more expected to be delivered when given the nod come December 2012.
The Minister according to our source said this when commissioning a two separate six-unit classroom block for the Abankwaman SHS to enhance teaching and learning and also improve on the school’s infrastructure deficits.
Mrs. Ama Benyiwa-Doe also inspected a two- storey boys’ dormitory block which was financed by the Assin South District Assembly headed by Mrs. Sabina Appiah Kubi, who also doubles as the Parliamentary aspirant for the Assin South Constituency on the ticket of the ruling NDC.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs and Elders of Atenesu and Apemnin Traditional Areas were among the Minister’s entourage that commissioned and inspected the projects.
