GUSHIEGU: Construction underway on five roads

The Ghana Social Opportunity Project (GSOP) is earnestly pushing a number of road projects in the Gushiegu district to enhance the road network linking most local areas for more agric produce to be transported to the urban centres.
At least five separate stretches in the district, including Gushiegu-Kpagili road, Nabuli-Namongbani, and Kpatinga-Gushiegu roads are all currently under construction to make transportation on these roads convenient and smooth. The rest are the Kpatinga-Gaa and Bogu-Tijo roads all located in the district.
For Mr. Fuseini Alhassan, the DCE for the area, he believed when such road projects are completed successfully it would assist open up the road system to boost trade and commerce in the entire district.
He made the observation in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com.
He said the whole project is ongoing smoothly in the various sites as contractors are busily discharging works to speed up the project to be accomplished in due time.
However the cost incurred for the effective implementation of each of these roads have been cited between the range of GHS141,000 and GHS 335,000, Mr. Alhassan Fuseini stated.
