NABDAM:Madam Vivian Anafo, confirmed as new DCE

Madam Vivian Anafo, the Presidential nominee for the new Nabdam district in the Upper East region on Tuesday, 6th November 2012 pulled through as the new District Chief Executive for the Assembly, following a second round of voting after being rejected initially by the Assembly.
This emanated in the fact that she was unable to pass a two third majority approval from the Assembly, hence out of the 15 Assembly members that voted in the first round, she polled nine votes as the remaining six voted against her resulting in her inability to clinch an endorsement.
However she was confirmed in the second round of the exercise, polling a total vote of 12 out of the 17 member Assembly that participated in the exercise, consequently translating into 70% votes casted thereof in her favour.
Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com after her approval as the DCE for the area, Madam Anafo declared strongly her willingness to work together and tirelessly with all the Assembly members, officials, as well as workers of the new Assembly to push the development of the area.
“This is a new district entrusted into our hands”, for that matter it would require more efforts and hardwork in the quest to drive and move forward development in the area, she noted.
She however called for the co-operation and support of all the Assembly members and those working in the Assembly to assist her bring the “Better Ghana” agenda to bear in the lives of inhabitants living in the district.
