KETU N:Basic schools receive desks
|Dual desks|| |
The Ketu North District Assembly with support from the government through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has provided basic schools in the district with furniture.
Almost three thousand (3000) dual desks supplied by GETfund have been ditributed to a number of schools faced with serious furniture challenges, a situation that compelled students to carry their own tables and chaires to and from school daily.
They include 2,131 dual desks and 800 mono desks which were distributed in two tranches.
Government commitment towards turning the dwedling educational standards in the country around is unquestionable and the assembly has also made quite substancial investment in the sector and is hopeful the fortunes of education in the district will match with other areas in the country.
Chief Executive of the district, Lawson Kofi Claver said there is high hope that in the near future, problems related to furniture and infrastructure in schools in the district would be a thing of the past.
