SEKYERE E: 70 youth undergo YESDEC training
About 70 youth in the Sekyere East District has undergone training in entrepreneurship and business management under the Youth Enterprise and Skills Development Centre (YESDEC) last Tuesday.
The topics treated at the one day work shop included proper book keeping, motivation of apprentices and customer relations. Also the training programme was to give an insight into how the beneficiaries could manage their business properly.
According to the district co-ordinator of YESDEC Mr. Daniel Osei Owusu, the beneficiaries had already benefited from three different module workshops.
He gave the breakdown as follows: 30 beneficiaries received training in grass cutter/rabbitory, 30 in dressmaking and 10 receiving training in specialty beauty care.
“After receiving training in grass cutter/rabbitory rearing, dressmaking and specialty beauty care, it is most appropriate we organise the entrepreneurial and management skills for the beneficiaries” Mr.Owusu emphasised.
Earlier on, Mr.Imrana Adams called on the youth to embrace the various training modules under the NYEP to help them develop their skills to face the challenges of life.
The co-ordinator who spoke on behalf of the district chief executive said the various training modules rolled out by the NDC government formed part of the Better Ghana Agenda.
He also advised the beneficiaries to adopt good business practices in order for them to continue to remain in business.
