The Kassena Nankana West District Assembly is hoping to push a tremendous growth for farmers engaged in Guinea fowl production in the district as it had collaborated with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in establishing modernized facility which practically aids in the breeding of birds.
The mechanized facility sited at Paga, the district capital is assisting the supply of healthy and viable eggs or birds for guinea fowl farmers in the surrounding environs.
This was made known in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com by the District Chief Executive for the area, Thomas Dalu Addah.
He hinted that the move is in consonance with the government’s ongoing decentralization exercise for the promotion of the Local Economic Development (LED), a strategic measure to trigger national development.
He said the Assembly is keen on lending support for the improvement of agric and agric related activities in the district in the quest to make the “Better Ghana” agenda meaningful in the lives of many that resides in the area.
