The West Gonja District Assembly has moved to rehabilitate the Nabori dam, as part of measures to ensuring a boost in agriculture production.
This was also necessitated as the Assembly needed to heed to the call of many resident farmers to reconstruct the dams which had for some time now been under-utilized because of their poor shape.
District Chief Executive for the area, Adam Mutawakilu speaking to Ghanadistricts.com emphasized the Assembly’s willingness to push the necessary efforts and assistance required for developing the sector in the district.
Meanwhile, he reiterated that the Assembly is still focused in making education accessible to all persons as it was making a number of moves to increasing existing educational infrastructure in the system, especially the basic education level.
He said currently the Assembly had provided a standard 3 unit classroom block for pupils of Kotito No.2 through funds secured from the District Development Facility (DDF).
He noted that these were all geared towards making the “Better Ghana” agenda meaningful in the area.
