ATIWA: 2,400 desks for basic schools

The Education Ministry has support the Atiwa District Assembly to solve the furniture difficulties the schools were faced with.

The Ministry provided the assembly with 1, 400 mono desks for distribution  to junior high schools (JHS) while primary schools were given 1000.

Chief Executive Emmanuel Atta Twum said distributions of the desks are already ongoing and when completed it will bring an end to the practice of students carrying desks to and from home everyday.

He said the assembly has never been comfortable with the inconveniences some students had to go through daily and was impressed about the ministry’s intervention.
