NKWANTA S:Kabiti Township gets support from assembly

The Kabiti Township, in the Nkwanta South District in the Volta Region has been provided with 10-seater vault chamber to boost sanitation in the area.

The fishing community was one of the worst affected communities by flood this year compelling authorities at the district to relocate most of the residents in the town to a new location.

This therefore needed urgent intervention to provide the needed some basic facilities to ensure resident live in comfort and one of such was the construction of the sanitary facility.

Nkwanta South District Chief Executive, Joseph Nyofam Ninkab said the facility is hoped to discourage residents from using their immediate environment for places of convenient which may lead to disease outbreaks.

He said natural disasters are event that nobody hopes for but when it happened it was appropriate to ensure victims are assisted to get back with life.
