AMA: 1.3km drain works underway at Bubui

As part of efforts to make life comfortable for residents in the Bubui Electoral Area in the Accra Metropolis, about 1.3-kilometre drain works is nearing completion in the area.

Completion of the project would then be followed by the construction of a road to connect the area to Darkuman and its surrounding towns.

Confirming this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com the Assemblyman for the Bubui Electoral Area, Mr. David Abalo expressed happiness over the project saying that the lack of such facility had caused flooding in most places in the area.

He said residents have welcomed the drain positively and have promised to maintain it for its longivity.

He indicated the project to be about 70% completed.

In security matters, Mr. Abalo said the area was currently awaiting the repair and installation of new streetlights for them.
