BUNKPURUGU Y: Joseph Naabu, Lawyer emerges NDC parliamentary candidate

Mr. Joseph Naabu Biipoe has been elected as the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a peaceful and successful primaries held at the newly created Yunyoo constituency.
Mr. Joseph Naabu won by a total of 131 votes beating two other contestants, Mr. Mato and Mr. Samuel Bori who also pulled 49 and 39 votes respectively.
The primaries became necessary to the NDC following the creation of additional forty-five (45) constituencies by the Electoral Commission (EC) pending parliament’s approval later next month. This is in accordance with the Legislative Instrument (L.I) 73 laid before Parliament a week ago.
The new Yunyoo constituency was created out of the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo constituency in the Northern region.
The newly elected NDC candidate expressed his appreciation to the NDC caucus and the interim executives of the party, as well as the District Chief Executive, Philip Laari for posing themselves neutral before and during the exercise.
He assured members to work assiduously and play a responsible role so as to ensure the seat for NDC in Parliament during the December polls.
Mr. Joseph Naabu is a lawyer by profession with a worth of experiences in several other areas and profession.
