 | | | Theater | |
The acting Paramount Chief of the Anum Traditional Area, Nana Kwesi Anyane V, Adontenhene of the Anum has appealed to government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid to build a theatre for the Salvation Army clinic.
He said the clinic currently faced with some challenges one of which is inadequate space at the theatre to accommodate the increasing number of patients has over the years been of tremendous assistance to the community.
Nana Kwasi Anyane V indicated that efforts by the community to put a new theatre for the clinic which was started some four years ago had been abandoned at the foundation level for lack of funds.
Meanwhile, a maternity block being built by the hospital authority through its internally generated funds is nearing completion and this would help expand admission of women in need of maternity help.
Nana Anyane also called for the completion of a community centre which he noted is progressing on a rather slow pace and needed priority attention for early completion. Nana who was addressing the Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Victor Smith and his entourage at his palace during the minister’s tour of the Asuogyaman District commended the government for maintaining and sustaining peace in the country and urged them to even do more as the election approaches.
On the part of the Minister, Mr. Victor Smith asked them to make available the cost of the facility to him for the necessary interventions to be made.
