SOCIAL: “Make your voices heard” – Mahama tells youth
 | | | Prez Mahama | |
President John Mahama has prevailed on the youth of Ghana to make their voices heard for the development of the country.
He said they (youth) could do this by offering inputs such as those that would help improve the educational system so that it is more effective in teaching the information and skills necessary for our graduates to compete with their peers across the globe.
He said they could as well engage themselves in acts of social responsibility such as ensuring that the environment is made conducive for human habitation. “Our young men and women can each, in their own way, become active partners in the creation of a better nation,” he said.
Mr. Mahama made this known in an address he presented to Ghanaians in a live broadcast last night on the nations Television station (GTV).
He said with optimism the voices of pessimism and negativity which seeks to destroy a society rather than build it up could be silenced.
He said with this politics of petty name-calling and baseless personal attacks could be crossed out from our democratic records.
“Our growing democracy deserves more from us than that,” he stated firmly.
