SOCIAL: ‘Asomdwee park’ turns tourists facility

Mills’ remains

Some Ghanaians who attended Prof. Mills’ burial service yesterday idealized the ‘Asomdwee park’, as a tourist site just after he was laid to rest.

Those who trooped to the park after Mills’ burial started taking photographs beside the tomb in memory of the departed Leader.

Others practically relaxed at the site and took opportunity to go round to watch the geese as it might be their first time of visiting the place.

It took the efforts of the security to force their exit and drive them away in the evening before they  were completely cleared from the park.

However some sections of the public following the funeral committee’s decision to lay the departed President at the park, have expressed their opinion for the park to be developed into a tourist site where subsequent Ghanaian leaders would be laid to rest as they die.
