The Ga East Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region has also marked the burial service of the late president Mills in a grand style in the Haatso Electoral Area.
The ceremony saw hundreds of people thronging the UT bank area including assembly members of the Municipality clad in red and black cloths with sad countenances, a way of also expressing the sadness of the demise of the late president.
The Assemblyman for the Haatso Electoral Area Mr. Edward Ayitey Aryee who revealed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said President Mills was like a father to them all and for them to also organize such a service in honour of him was in the right direction.
Commenting on the character of President Mills, Mr. Ayitey noted that he was a very humble man who was able to tolerate everything and anything no matter the situation.
“I admire him a lot because he was able to mingle with all of us although he was the president of Ghana,” he intimated. He however urged Ghanaians to learn the good ways of President Mills whose death occurred at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on July 24.
