 | | | Late President Mills | |
The three days funeral rites of the late President J.E.A Mills come to a close today Friday July 10, 2012 where he will be finally laid to rest at the Geese Park.
This morning’s filing past the mortal remains of the late President is strictly reserved for foreign dignitaries including presidents or their representatives from Africa and the world.
The Government officials and the general public in the country had their chance the last two days where thousands poured in at the State House in Accra to sympathize with the departed president.
Already the funeral ground, the Independence Square is set and filled to capacity with people from far and near who have all gathered to pay their last respect.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), he will be buried with full military honours.
When the invited dignitaries finish paying their last respect, the casket will be conveyed to the independence square for the final activities to be performed before internment at the Geese Park on the Castle Drive.
