DAY 2:DCE remembers Mills for his ‘confidence’ in youth

For many like Mr. Ameen Salifu, District Chief Executive for the Wa East District Assembly though President John Evans Atta Mills has passed on, his distinct legacies such as the confidence he reposed in the youth will forever leave imprints in the governance system of the country.

He recounted the way Prez. Mills gave opportunity for the young people of the country to also partake in his government to push the development of the nation forward.

In an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com after he filed- past the remains of the Late President, the DCE said the same unity and peace that he preached whiles he was alive, has really come alive more at his funeral ceremony, as he had departed with Ghanaians.

He was enthused with the patience and the love which loomed in the atmosphere during his funeral. 

According to him, although it was hard for him to believe the demise and shock of the death of the President initially, he truly realized it all as he filed past his body.

But, he was quick to add that Prez. Mills proved a point in his government as he made certain reforms in the Public Works System and the overhaul of other areas such as the major revenue mobilization agencies now branded under ‘Ghana Revenue Authority’.
