SOCIAL: “Security is relatively calm and commendable” - Police

The Ghana Police Service has expressed satisfaction over comportment and cooperation between security personnel and people who have visited the State House to file past the mortal remains of the late President, Professor J.E.A Mills.
The remains of the late president has been laid in state at the Banquet Hall for public viewing and paying of last respect before his final burial.
Briefing the media on security, the Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Cephas Arthur noted that the state of security with regards to the funeral of the ex-president is relatively calm and commendable.
He said the entire Police administration was satisfied with the conduct of the general public, on the first day of the file passing and hoped it continues throughout the subsequent days.
However Director-General in charge of Administration, COP Rose Atinga- Bio also in a statement on Thursday, assured members of the public of utmost security, during and after the funeral rites.
The Commissioner of Police urged the public to be decent and maintain peace for the next few days of the funeral of the Late President to its success.
