NITE VIGIL:Cultural display and traditional music mark vigil

Night vigil

The rich cultural heritage of the Ghanaian was resurrected on Wednesday night at vigil of President Mill’s funeral at the forecourt of the Banquet Hall of the State House.

The night witnessed different traditional assembles of music and cultural displays drawn from across the length and breadth of the ten regions in the country.

Many Ghanaians and foreigners dressed in mourning colours of red and black gathered to show their love for the late president for the last time before his final departure to eternity.

It was indeed a night of sorrow and joy as there were not only cultural displays but tributes and poems from various groups, associations, organizations and countries.

The Delali cultural troupe from the Volta Region and the Wolomei from the Greater Accra Region stole the show with their performances.

The night vigil was patronized by political party gurus too.
