Preparations for the final funeral rites of the late President John Evans Atta Mills are seriously ongoing at the various centres designated to host one function or the other.
It appears the funeral planning committee is not leaving anything to chance to ensure the late president is giving a befitting burial.
Major streets in the capital have all been decorated with red and black to depict the mood of the country while other places are receiving white paints to make them more appealing.
The burial ground, the Geese Park, between the castle and the independence square is also busy with activities while the independence square itself is being giving some new look.
Considering the huge number of mourners expected to attend the funeral from within and outside the country, the police is also making arrangement for enough parking spaces and orderly movement of vehicle during the three days of funeral of the late president.
Some roads are expected to be closed during the period and drivers are to be on the look out for new directions that would be provided during the period.
The three days final funeral rites of the late President would commence on Wednesday 8 July, 2012 and would be buried on Friday July 10, 2012.
