JOMORO: 128 physically challenged supported

A hundred and twenty eight (128) physically challenged persons in Jomoro have received support from the Jomoro District Assembly in the Western Region.
It was aimed at making funds available to the disabled in order to empowering them to take hold of their economic lives.
In a document dubbed “Employment Creation and Poverty” cited by Ghanadistricts.com, the initiative was adopted to reduce the burden on the physically challenged since they usually were neglected by their family and friends.
“The physically challenged have been really "challenged” and “empowered” to take-up their own economic and social development,” the document said.
In another development, the Jomoro District Assembly has built a multi purpose Rural Technology Facility (RTF) through the Better Ghana agenda to facilitate engineering works and technology transfer in the area.
