POLITICS:Vetting of Vice Prez nominee underway
|Mr. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur|| |
Vetting of the Vice President nominee, Mr. Amissah-Arthur is currently underway in parliament.
The chairman of the vetting committee, Mr. Doe Adjaho and the ranking member of the committee, Kyei-Mensah Bonsu at the start of proceedings gave reasons to justify their resolve to accept public hearing instead of the widely suggested option of in-camera vetting.
True to the words of the committee, the process has been smooth so far as the chairman seems to have firm grip of situations.
The nominee has so far answered series of questions posed to him by members of the committee. Most of the questions posed to him so far had to do with his stewardship at the Bank of Ghana as Governor as well as issues with the general economic situations of the country.
However, how well or otherwise he performed will be determined by the vetting committee.
