Prophet Nakoa Nazareth Ansah Jamson, Founder and Leader of Israel King of Jesus Church at Dome, in Accra, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to continue to instill discipline in his administration to ensure peace in the country.
He said the late President John Evans Atta Mills stood for peace, unity and discipline and never used intemperate language against his opponents or engaged in anything that could divide the country.
Prophet Nakoa, who is also the Spiritual Leader of the Prophets of Spiritual Churches Council in Ghana, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Dome at the weekend.
He asked President Mahama to foster unity among the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members and Ghanaians in general.
“The President should ensure that respect is given to whoever is due in the party and society so that the good works of the late President could be continued for the progress of the nation,” he advised.
Prophet Nakoa called on the government to honour the late President Mills for his contributions to the nation by developing his hometown, Ekumfi Otuam in the Central Region.
Prophet Nakoa asked Christians to avoid violence in Election 2012 and said: “do not go to the polling stations and fight, collect ballot boxes or insult anyone. Go and vote peacefully to the presidential or parliamentary candidate of your choice.” GNA
