GA E:Papao new school block in progress

The Ga East Municipal Assembly has taken steps to mitigate the problem of over crowding in a basic school located at Papao, a suburb at the Haatso electoral area within the Ga East municipality.
The Assembly in conjunction with the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) is building a standard classroom block facility for pupils of this deprived school in the area.
Under this move, the Assembly is constructing a 1 storey 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities to ostensibly help address the infrastructure deficit of the school.
The Assembly member for the area, Edward Ayitey Aryee who made this known in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com assured that work is progressing steadily on the project.
He disclosed that the concrete flow has been done already, thus contractors are now busily raising pillars to ensure the completion of the project within the scheduled time.
The Assemblyman praised government and the Assembly for undertaking such an essential project for the beneficiary school, adding that the facility will assist promote quality education in the area.
