GA E:Teachers should counsel pupils-Assemblyman

Teacher

The Assemblyman for Haatso electoral area in the Ga East municipality, Mr. Edward Ayitey Aryee has underscored the need for teachers to embark on regular counseling of pupils to complement efforts discharged in the lessons process.

He explained that the move will encourage and influence school children in relation to their attitude towards academic work.

He therefore added that teachers across board should endeavour to be patient when conducting teaching and learning so as to relieve the pressure on pupils who normally experience uneasiness in classrooms because of their difficulty in absorbing lessons swiftly.

The Assemblyman made the observation in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com regarding the way forward in education, especially in his area.

He also noted that it was imperative for parents to know the performance of their wards in school, hence the need for them to ensure intermittent visits to the schools of their wards to inquire how their children fare in academic work.

According to him, this has the tendency of contributing to quality education in the educational system.
