The Bongo District Assembly has committed resources from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) in the building of a standard Police post at Soe a suburb of Bongo in the Upper East region.
Highlighting the project in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Clement Akugre Atiah, District Chief Executive for the area, noted that the facility was considered by the Assembly to ostensibly help contribute to security issues in the area.
He said Police in the community needed the facility to enable them discharge their operations in an enhanced environment, hence the decision by the Assembly to support such an august and strategic project to boost security systems in the district.
He cited a total amount of GHS 50,050.65 as the total budget committed to help push the project efficiently in the community.
According to him, the project executed in the district amidst other projects by the Assembly this year is to keep the “Better Ghana” agenda on track at the district.
