AMA: Rally behind me Prez Mahama tells youth

President John Mahama has called on the youth of Ghana to rally behind him and the current government in order to move the country to another level.
He said he was born in 1958, a year after independence which makes him still young and capable of using his youthful energies for the betterment of Ghana.
“I therefore call on the young people of this generation to stand by me to show our fathers that we are ready to take over any responsibility given us,” he added.
He made the call when he delivered a speech at the Efua Sutherland Park today, to mark the one week celebration of the death of President Mills which occurred at the 37 Military Hospitals in the Accra.
Mr. Mahama however took the opportunity to speak against hate and abusive languages being used by a section of Ghanaians especially the general elections beckons.
He also called on all to help make the final funeral rites of the late President Mills a memorable one.
“Lets us not exclude anyone, but let’s collectively come together to mourn this great man (Prof Mills) for the unity of Ghana,” he pleaded.
