KINTAMPO N:25 boreholes for deprived communities

In a bid to improve potable water supply in deprived areas, the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Government of Ghana has funded the construction of 25 mechanised boreholes for residents.
Speaking at an assembly sitting, the Municipal Chief Executive, Alhassan Seidu Harrison noted that the assembly in collaboration with the Community Water and Sanitation Agency(CWSA) is working closely to provide water for the local communities who are in dire need of potable water in the municipality.
He however disclosed that the drilling of 6 separate boreholes were seriously ongoing under the funding of the Government of Ghana (GoG), adding that additional 9 of these facilities have been completed with concrete pad and installation of pumps left to be done.
Mr. Seidu Harrison further noted that the assembly also on its part has drilled 10 more boreholes in various parts of the municipality all aimed at ensuring the supply of quality water in those selected communities.
In other related developments, the MCE further disclosed that the Ghana School Feeding programme was still on-going in the area, adding that more schools have in recent times being added to the programme.
