OFFINSO S: Offinso to be transformed into a modern Municipality

The Municipal Chief executive for Offinso South in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Baffour Amankwah Kesse has revealed to Ghanadisitricts.com that a number of initiatives are being adopted to make the area a modern municipality.

He said a lot of development projects under the Better Ghana agenda are being rolled out in all sectors including education, transportation, and agriculture among others to make the dream a reality.

“This will go a long way to make the area more attractive to lure investors and also be a preferred investment destination in the country,” he added in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com.

Again, Mr. Kesse said the Assembly has also collaborated with private companies in the area to enter into a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) in order to developed tourism sites which they have identified as ones which have tendency of generating enough revenue for the assembly.

He said with the help of the PPP, other lucrative ventures will be set up to employ more youths and also create the enabling flexible environment for businesses to be established.

Mr. Kesse also revealed that the Assembly had decided to organize a Municipal Policy fair which will create the right environment to showcase what they have and solicit for more support for accelerated development.
